IronHive Co. is a gothic pollinator apparel brand from Sutherlin, Oregon, founded and run by a working beekeeper. Every design is drawn from the real hive — the queen, the swarm, the forage, the winter cluster — and printed to order on Bella+Canvas and Independent Trading blanks. Every order ships with a packet of wildflower seeds, mailed separately by the keeper with a handwritten note.
Where it started
IronHive didn't start as a clothing brand. It started at the hive.
This is my first season keeping. I lost a colony in it, and I have spent the year working to bring it back. That is where these designs come from — not from a season that went well.
What no amount of preparation covers is standing beside an active hive at dusk and understanding, without being able to fully explain it, that something ancient and precise is operating at a scale most people never get close to. The mythology in these designs isn't borrowed. It's observed. The queen's authority. The swarm's discipline. The bloom's absolute dependence on both. The keeper's role — which is not to save the bees, but to protect the conditions they need to do what they have always done.
I made it clothing because clothing is how a culture signals what it believes.
What we believe
